Mary Russell Flowers, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her residence. She was 92 years old.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2 pm in Dothan City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Respite Care, 1380 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36303.

Mary Flowers was born on August 19, 1926 in Chattanooga, TN. She married Richmond Flowers, Sr. in 1946 and moved to Dothan.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richmond Flowers, Sr.; two daughters, Katherine Moran Flowers and Mary Flowers Tarwater; and a grandson, John Jefferson Flowers.

Survivors include her two sons, Richmond (Dianne) Flowers and Jeff (Chris) Flowers; her son-in-law, Dwight Tarwater; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
