Mary Sue Foxworth of Geneva passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020. She was 72. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Teddy Ward officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church, Food Pantry, 1009 W Maple Avenue, Geneva, AL 36340.
Sue was born in Holmes Co., FL on November 5, 1947, to the late Umphries Sellers and Sudie Lee Lancaster Sellers. She was a longtime and faithful member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than forty-five years. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Amanda Catherine Foxworth, and Jessica Amelia Foxworth; and a brother, Joseph Hardy Sellers.
She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-six years, Andrew “Andy” Foxworth; daughter, Renee Word, and husband, Brett of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Andrew Paul Word (Samantha) of Northport, Amelia Foxworth Word, and Aaron Lee Word, both of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
