ECHO COMMUNITY…Mason Sego, a resident of the Echo Community, near Midland City, died early Sunday morning, July 18, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Wicksburg. He was 17.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Damon Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mason was born May 20, 2004, in Ozark and has lived in the Midland City area most of his lifetime. He attended Dale County High School and was currently employed with C & H Plumbing & Electric in Echo. Mason enjoyed riding motorcycles, making others feel good with his fun personality and rapping to music.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Christy Coach, Echo; his father, Mickey Sego, Jr.; two sisters, Jayda Lynne Sego and Christina Kay Thomley; brother, Louie Thomley, III; grandparents, Hollie Dianne Coach and Aaron Lasner, Newton; Mickey Sego, Sr. (Betty), Eufaula; aunts and uncles, Aaron Jeremy Lasner, Misty Gillespie and husband, Jeremy, Stephanie Sego, Michael Mumey, Misty Harp, Heidi Smith, and Mickey Smith and husband, Terry, Alicia Coslett, Linda Coslett, and Diane Coslett; great-aunt, Kaye Gillespie; numerous cousins also survive.
