A celebration of his life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephanie Cox officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am-12 pm.
Master Sergeant Julion Clements, USAF, (RET), former resident of Dothan, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Wetumpka, Alabama following an extended illness. He was 94 years old.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephanie Cox officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am-12 pm.
Mr. Clements was born on November 22, 1928 in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Murphy and Venola Clements. He joined and proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 26 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Clements worked with PEMCO Aeroplex as a supervisor following his military career and was a longtime member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dothan. He enjoyed bowling in a couple’s league with his late wife, Frances, and being in the outdoors fishing together.
Mr. Clements was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Frances Fay Bogle Clements, by his siblings, J. L. Clements, Vivian Payne, and Nell Ables.
Survivors include his daughters, Julia Taylor and Janet (Rick) Hinton; his two grandchildren, Bryan (Cindy) Taylor and Wayne (Brooke) Taylor; his five great-grandchildren, Courtney Taylor, Collin Taylor, Ashleigh Taylor, Addison Taylor, and Jordan Taylor; his sister, Annie Clibrey; and numerous extended family and friends.
