DOTHAN. . .Matthew Scott Galloway, a resident of Dothan, passed away early Sunday morning, June 4, 2023, at his home. He was 41.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 9, 2023, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Cobb and Chaplain Philip Box officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of Candace Kirkland in Webb.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, c/o Avis Kirkland, 1805 Webb to Kinsey Road, Webb, AL 36376.
Matt Galloway was born and reared in Kinsey and was a graduate of Northview High School. He lived in Kinsey before moving to Dothan in 2014. Matt was an active member of the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. He was employed by Cook’s Pest Control as a Pest Control Manager. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dean Galloway.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Terrin Kirkland Galloway, a daughter, Addilyn Galloway, a son, Aidan Galloway, his mother, Debbie Galloway, all of Dothan;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rex and Avis Kirkland, and a sister-in-law, Candace Kirkland, a special niece, Magnolia Kirkland, uncles, Dennis Stewart (April), Dwayne Stewart (Kendra) and Dwight Stewart, and several cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Andy Anderson, Preston Sellers, Devin Sims, Eric Spivey, Daniel Ring and Grant Williams.
