On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Maudine Hart, our precious mother and Granny, departed from us to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was 90 years old. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Chris Woodall officiating.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.  No graveside service will be held at this time.

Maudine loved the Lord dearly and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church for more than 50 years.  She was born in Greenville, Alabama on April 15, 1931 to the late Bethel and Evie Cooper Lowe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hart; her baby boy, Shannon; her great-grandson, baby Miles Hart; and her nine siblings.

Her greatest joy in life was her family.  She worked many years as a seamstress in a shirt factory to make a better life for them.  “Granny” always put her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren ahead of herself.  She loved it when everyone would come over for family dinners, and she made all the grandchildren feel special by cooking their favorite dishes.  She will be greatly missed for making everyone feel loved and cherished.  Her family will carry her love in their hearts and rejoice with her in heaven one day.

Left to carry on the legacy of her love are her children, Allen Hart (Debbie) of Enterprise, Alabama, Sally Ann Danford (Ricky) of Damascus, Alabama, and Raymond Hart (Cathy) of Ozark, Alabama; her grandchildren, Brooke Cavanaugh (Ray), Amanda Zorn (Gid), Jonathon Hart (Kayleigh), Wade Danford (Michelle), Randy Danford (Bettie), Heath Danford (Anna), Daniel Hart (Nichole), and Katelyn Thomas (Matthew); and 19 great-grandchildren.
