Mavis McCormick Sellers passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama following a brief illness. She was 64 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Fletcher Taylor, and first husband Frank McCormick. Survivors include: her husband David Wayne Sellers, twin sister Mary T. Kelley, nephew Jeremy T. Kelley, two step-children Glen and Donna McCormick, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mavis also leaves behind two brothers-in-law Jeffery Sellers and Robert Hinson, her sister-in-law Rebecca Sellers, one niece Jennifer Sellers, numerous cousins, and a family friend, Linda Braswell.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 30, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church located at 1231 Fortner Street Dothan, Alabama. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m. For those wishing to remember Mavis, in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ward-Wilson Funeral Home at 2414 Hartford Highway, Dothan, Alabama 36305 to help pay with final expenses.
