Maxine Stephens Spivey Samuelson born September 9, 1929 in Geneva County, died Monday August 15, 2016, age 86 at Extendicare.


 


She graduated from Hartford High School in 1947 after playing drums for 6 years. She attended Riley Business College and was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan, AL.


 


She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Quattlebaum Stephens; father, Bob Stephens; Husband, Larry Samuelson; brothers, Wilburn Stephens and Joe Stephens; step-son, Perry Samuelson.


 


She is survived by 4 children, Don Spivey, Sandra Spivey, Olivia Baker and Angie Ellenburg; Step-son, Larry Samuelson Jr. of Augusta, GA.; sister, Sharon (Robert), Skipper of Marianna, FL, sister-in-law, Dixie Samuelson of Burton, MI; nephews Jamie ( Jennifer) Skipper of Tallahassee, FL, Bobby (Mary) Skipper of Marianna, FL;great- nieces, Branham Skipper of Nashville, TN and Jenna Skipper; great-nephew Preston Skipper of Gainesville; several grandchildren; special friend, Jeanette Davis of Slocomb.


 


Memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Dothan, with a visitation from 10 to 11AM.
