Maybell Conroy (nee Williams) departed this Earth on March 31, 2017 at the University of Alabama, Birmingham Hospital, following a four months long battle with multiple infections, that proved resistant to antibiotic treatment.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Maybell was born on December 23,1952 to Willie Frank and Willie Belle (Knight) Williams, in Florala, Alabama. In 1972, she met Air Force Staff Sargeant, David Conroy. Following a brief courtship, they married on May 4, 1973. They had two daughters, Rebecca Lois, in 1974, and Celeste Victoria, in 1975. She also had three grandchildren, Kahless, Robert, and Bella. She was preceded in death by brother Alcus Williams, her parents Willie Bell and Willie Frank Williams, Sr., sister Mary Robinson, and brother Willie Frank Williams Jr.
