Melinda Diane Singletary Johnson, age 58, of Dothan, AL., died Monday, March 2, 2015 at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 from the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Farley officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, March 5, beginning at noon and continuing until service time.

 

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Southlena Baptist Church and was the owner of Davis Oil Company in Dothan. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved gardening.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, James “Rube” Singletary.

 

She is survived by her husband, William Greg Johnson; her mother, Peggy Singletary; two daughters, Amy Johnson Penn (Jason), Stephanie Johnson Stewart (Mark); one sister, Patsy Singletary Arnold; and seven grandchildren, Sarah Brooks, Ryan Morgan, Madalyn Penn, Jackson Brooks, Zane Penn, Kason Penn and Isabella Stewart.

 

Pallbearers for Mrs. Johnson will be Alan Johnson, Sam Morgan, Adam Johnson, Tim Crawford, Phillip Dodson and Allen Turner.
