Melissa Hudson Tatro

Melissa Hudson Tatro of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 29th, 2022. She was 49.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home in Dothan, Alabama with Pastor Doug Dowdey officiating. The family will receive friends at Sunset beginning at 1:00 pm and continue until the time of the service.

Melissa was born, November 25, 1972 to Kay and the late Bruce Hudson. She grew up in Dothan, Alabama. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She enjoyed throwing themed parties for her neighborhood. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bruce Hudson; her grandfather, Clifford Albert Rainey; her paternal grandparents Russell and Tommie Nell Hudson and her aunt, Karen Dempsey.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Tatro of Gainesville, GA; her step-children, Cecelia and Jacob Tatro; her mother, Kay Hudson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon Tatro Sr. and Angie Tatro; her sister, Tara Weaver (Tim); her brother Lance Hudson; her grandmother, Vaudine Rainey; two nieces, Kaylen and Carlee Mcallister; and lifetime friend, Nikki Perkins.
