Melva Jean “Nana” Frazier, 86, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Noland Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, June 5, 2023, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Reverend Don Tew officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. Melva will be laid to rest by her husband at Resthaven Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the services.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to SARCOA, 1075 South Brannon Stand Road, Dothan, Alabama 36305.

Melva was born September 12, 1936, in Canute, Oklahoma and moved to Arizona as a child. She worked at Agua Fria High School in the cafeteria for many years until her retirement. Melva later moved to Columbia where she has resided since 2006. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Melva is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Finis Frazier, sons, Kerry Frazier, Gale Frazier, several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jennifer Frazier, Jeremy Frazier; great-grandchildren, Seth (Jamie) Houser, Dylan Frazier, Chelsea (Keotta) Reese; great-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Tessa, Emmarie, Roselynn, Charity, JJ, Isaiah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
