Mercedes Melendez, age 89, of Fayette AL passed away Sunday, February 09, 2014 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.

 

Survivors include her two daughters, Ana R. Melendez of Bastrop, TX and Maria Newsome of Fayette, AL; one grandson, Erik Rivera and one granddaughter, Sharise Clegg.

 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
