Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama

 

Mr. Michael Darrin “Mike” Burnette, a resident of Ozark, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was 56 years old.

Funeral services for Mr. Burnette will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Greg Aman and Reverend Dr. Eric Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mr. Burnette was born March 15, 1968 in Selma, Alabama to Shirley Ann Reynolds Burnette and the late Kenneth Edward Burnette. He graduated from Carroll High School and attended Wallace Community College. Mr. Burnette was an Ozark Fire Fighter and currently worked with Sikorsky Aircraft in Troy. He was a member of Ozark Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Edward Burnette; two sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rush Burnette and Mr. and Mrs. Clovis Reynolds.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Marko McDaniel Burnette; his mother, Shirley Reynolds Burnette; one daughter, Carson Burnette Johnson (Travis); step-children, Josh Coker and Cayla Coker; one sister, Michele Burnette Paramore (Darren); two nephews, Nason Paramore and Braeden Paramore; four grandchildren, Sawyer Johnson, Collins Johnson, Tripp Coker and Myles Coker.
