Mickey Lee Moody of Kinston, AL passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 69 years old.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mickey to his wife, Janice Regina Moody for medical treatment related to her ongoing battle with cancer.
Mickey was born in Coffee County, AL on July 31, 1951 to the late Grady Lee and Tobitha Lawson Moody. Mickey earned a degree in horticulture which explained why he loved working with his flowers. He was a free-spirited soul who enjoyed talking and listening to people. He always pulled for the underdog and would give you the shirt off his back. Mickey will be missed by all that knew him, especially by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Moody.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Janice Regina Moody of Samson, AL; one son, Lee Moody (Cheyenne) of Samson, AL; one granddaughter, Piper Leigh Moody of Samson, AL; five brothers and sisters, Dykes Moody (Betty Sue) of Samson, AL, Mike “Buddy” Moody (Evelyn) of Samson, AL, Jimmy Moody of Skipperville, AL, Marilyn Moody Gullion and June Moody both of Samson, AL; several nieces and nephews; and his special K-9 companion, Happy.
