Mildred Rice Eddins, a resident of Ashford, AL passed into her eternal home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was 101 years young.


Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Ashford Assembly of God Church with Reverend Charles Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the church from 11 to 12 on Saturday, February 28, 2015, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.


Mrs. Eddins was born June 18, 1913 in Houston County Alabama. She was a resident of Ashford, AL her whole life. She has been a member of the Ashford Assembly of God Church for 72 years. She loved working in her yard but most of all she was a loving mother and a devoted Christian lady.


She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn W. Eddins, four brothers and two sisters.


Survivors include her daughter Glenda M. Standifer (Jerry) of Newton; sons Charles G. Eddins (Deloris) of Dothan; Bobby Eddins (Bonnie) of Pensacola, FL; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
