Milton E. Thornton, a resident of Slocomb, died Thursday, 6/14/2012 at his residence. He was 83.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday 6/17/2012 at the First Baptist Church of Slocomb with Rev. Dan Raley and Rev. David Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until 2:30 pm, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

He is survived by his wife Maebelle Harris Thornton of Slocomb, five sons: Phillip, Randall, William and Steve Thornton, all of Texas, Neil Thornton of Macon, GA.  Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
