DOTHAN. . .Miriam Pearce Prince, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, April 13, 2023, at her home. She was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DaySpring Hospice Foundation, 100 Professional Lane, Enterprise, AL 36330 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Mrs. Prince was born in Newville and moved to Dothan with her family as a child. She was a 1951 graduate of Dothan High School. Mrs. Prince lived in various locations in the U. S. and overseas while her husband served in the U. S. Air Force. She also lived in Napier Field before moving to Dothan in 2013. Mrs. Prince was a member of the Grimes Methodist Church and attended Highland Park Methodist Church. She was retired as the owner and operator of L & M Beauty Hut in Midland City. Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Middleton Prince, Sr., a son, David Prince, and a sister, Cindajo Overton.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Charles M. (Chuck) Prince, Jr. (Charlotte), Dallastown, PA; Philip Prince (Debra), Dothan; two sisters, Margie Lee, Dothan; and Jean Woodham (Felton), Dothan; a brother, Richard Pearce (Carol), Hoover, AL; grandchildren, Chip Prince, III (Lisa), Carl Prince (Randee), Adam Prince (Kristine), Erin Baird (Allen), Kyle Prince and Justin Prince; great-grandchildren, Emmalee Prince, Carl Prince, Jr., Cody Prince, Cali Prince and Sadie Prince; special friends, Don and Lisa Warr and family, Scott Beumer and family, Joyce Hightower and family, Carol Keahey and Novia Brackin.
The family would like to express their appreciation to DaySpring Hospice for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Prince during her illness.
