Miss Alexea Michaela Morgan of Kelly Road, Black, Alabama was escorted into heaven by a host of angels from the UAB Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was 11.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. Wade Green, Bro. Alan Smith, Bro. Dewayne Watson, Bro. Jon Isaacs and Bro. Duran McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in the Pondtown United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, February 10, from 3 until 5 p.m.
Alexea was born November 8, 2001, in Panama City, Florida. She was a very happy child and enjoyed attending school at Mulkey Elementary where she was a 5th grader. Alexea was a very special little girl who had led her family to Christ. She loved to minister to the other children at school, especially those with special needs. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and was a member of Sweetwater Holiness Church.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ramsey Jordan and Edward Augusiak.
Survivors include her parents, Michael and Stephanie Jones Morgan; one brother, Michael Morgan, all of Black, AL; grandparents: Kerry Morgan of Black, AL, Roy Morgan of Webb, AL, Eloise Jones and Peter McMorrow, both of Tampa, FL; great-grandmothers: Mildred Jordan of Black, AL and Elvira Augusiak of Tampa, FL; three uncles; two aunts; several special cousins; other extended family and all her friends at Mulkey Elementary.
