Miss Amelia Gail Simmons, 60, of the Rocky Head Community in Ariton, died Thursday, April 30, 2020, at her home.
Funeral services for Miss Simmons will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 4, 2020, in Universalist Cemetery in Ariton with Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.
Gail was born August 22, 1959 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Percy Othrige Simmons and Mildred “Polly” Ziglar Simmons. She attended Rocky Head Baptist Church and Mount Zion Baptist Church. Gail worked as a cosmetologist for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Simmons.
Survivors include her sister, Judy Simmons of Ariton and her fur-baby, BJ. Several cousins also survive.
