ABBEVILLE. . .Miss Jeanie Bulger, a resident of the Brown’s Crossroads Community of Henry County, died Thursday afternoon, October 2, 2014, in the Ft. Gaines Health and Rehab. She was 91.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2014, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Elder Ross Plowden and Reverend James Bradley officiating and Holman-Headland Mortuary directing. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:15 AM Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.


            Miss Bulger was born in Clopton in Henry County, daughter of the late John Henry Bulger and Danie Wright Bulger. She was reared in Tumbleton and moved with her family to the Brown’s Crossroads Community in 1934. Miss Bulger was a member of the New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church. She was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville after thirty-two years employment. Miss Bulger was preceded in death by a sister, Leila Bradley, and three brothers, Guy Bulger, Daniel Bulger, and Bill Bulger.


            Surviving relatives include a sister-in-law, Louise Bulger, several nieces and nephews.
