MIDLAND CITY. . .Miyoko Oshiro “Kitty” Corbin, a resident of Wilsonville, Alabama, formerly of Midland City, died Thursday morning, March 1, 2018, at her home. She was 79.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018, in the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Midland City, with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Wyndle Enfinger, 3991 County Road 73, Midland City, AL 36350.
Kitty Corbin was born in Palau, Caroline Islands, daughter of the late Tara Oshiro and Nae Oshiro. She lived in Dale County, near Midland City, most of her lifetime before moving to Wilsonville in 2011. Kitty was a member of the Wilsonville Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Larry’s Restaurant & Grocery in Grimes for over thirty years. Kitty was preceded in death by the father of her son, Donnie Royce Corbin and all her sisters and brothers.
Surviving relatives include a son, James Gary Corbin (Donna), Wilsonville, AL; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to S.E. Hospice and especially Elaine Lay for the loving care and kindness shown to Kitty during her illness.
