Monette Grantham Hayes, 86, of Midland City, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 peacefully at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church in Newton, Alabama, with son David Grantham officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Piney Grove prior to service time.
Ms. Hayes was born September 8, 1934 to the late Dewey and Ethel Dean in Dale County, where she resided most of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ms. Hayes was a member of Piney Grove Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Ethel Dean; and one sister Hilda Mae Grantham.
Survivors include her two sons, David (Wendy) Grantham and Steve Grantham; one daughter, Melinda (Scotty) Williams; her three sisters, Omega Ward, Shirley Marshall, and Betty King; She was blessed with four grandchildren, Dustin Grantham, Daniel (Amanda) Grantham, Ashtin (Ericka) Williams, and Briana Williams; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan and Taylor Blount, Brayden Williams, Carson Grantham, Ava Williams, Sophia Cox, Coltin Williams, and Bryson Cox; and many nieces and nephews.
