MONROE McARTHUR ELMORE
DOTHAN. . .Monroe McArthur Elmore, a resident of Dothan, died Friday afternoon, May 16, 2014, in the Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Facility. He was 71.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 19, 2014, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Tony Deese officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, N.J. 08540.
Mr. Elmore was born and reared in Houston County, near Cottonwood. He lived in the Dothan area most of his lifetime. Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by his father, James Tullis Elmore.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Cindy Peterson, Ashford; a son, Bryan Elmore, Midland City; his mother, Beatrice McNeil Elmore, Dothan; a sister, Debra White (Jimmy), Cowarts; a brother, William Tullis Elmore (Joycine), The Rock, Georgia; two grandchildren, Reba Peterson, and Louie Peterson.
