Mot Thi Nguyen

Mot Thi Nguyen was called to rejoice in her heavenly home on October 16, 2021 at the age 65.

She was known by many to have a sweet and infectious smile. Mot was a faithful servant with a kind and compassionate heart. She was devoted to her family and had a passion for cooking.

Mot was preceded in death by her husband Hai Van Nguyen; both parents: Van Tran and Sau Thi Tran; two brothers: Nghien Van Tran and Nghiem Van Tran.

Survivors include her three children: Nixon Nguyen (Chen), Virginia Nguyen (Tavares), and Juli Nguyen (Michael); her eleven grandchildren: Kisa, Tyler, Samaj , Kyson, Ally, Lyla, Vera, Scully, Luna, Evie, and Kirby; two brothers: Ngan (Tot) Tran and Troung (Loan) Tran; three sisters: Suu (Khanh) Tran, The (Tam) Tran, and Thom (Hung) Nguyen; a special sister-in-law: Ngiem Tran; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday, October 22, from 4-6 at Sunset Memorial with a small traditional Vietnamese service for the immediate family following the viewing. Funeral services will be held the following day, October 23 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Columba Catholic Church with burial at Sunset Memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 716 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama, 36606. The family kindly ask for masks to be worn by all who are in attendance of services.
