Alfred Ellison Fohan passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle in Dothan, AL.
Al was born in Cottonwood, AL August 4, 1930, son of James H. and Colie Fohan. He served in the U. S. Army before beginning his career as an electrician with IBEW. His career allowed him to travel many places. In his early years he loved to hunt and fish. As he got older, he was a caregiver to his wife and a friend to many. Al was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn K. Fohan.
He is survived by his children, Vicky (Glenn) Griffin, David Randy Fohan, Yolanda (Billy) Parker, Karmen Williams, and Jon (Sirena) Williams; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2018 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stacy Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 3 PM, prior to the service.
The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Operation Smile, P. O. Box 5017, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gloria and Joe Earl Rogers for their love and devotion to our family.
