Mr. Alton Eugene (Pete) Enfinger of Geneva gained his eternal wings Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the age of 89.


Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church in Geneva with Reverend Ricky Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Geneva with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, prior to the service.


Mr. Enfinger was born June 10, 1933, in Hartford, Alabama, the son of the late Alton Lee and Gladys Blocker Enfinger. He was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church where over the years, he served in several areas, currently designated Deacon Emeritus. He joined the Air Force after graduation and served his country during the Korean War. He was a faithful loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was known for his quick wit and chivalrous behavior.


He is preceded in death by two wives; Paula McCall Enfinger and Mary Ogburn Enfinger; and his sister; Mary Lois Enfinger Outlaw.


Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Dorothy Anderson Enfinger; daughter and son-in-law; Natasha Enfinger and James Kinion (Kin) Reynolds of Fairhope, AL, son and daughter-in-law, Michael Keith and Sherry Lolly Enfinger, of Coffee Springs, AL., step-daughters, Gena Ogburn and Wade Smith of Spanish Fort, AL., Donna Anderson Dawson of Pensacola, FL., Linda Anderson Howell and Butch Hutto of Geneva, AL., and Debbie Anderson Fernald of St. Petersburg, FL., brother-in-law; Talmedge Outlaw of Geneva, AL., sister-in-law; Dorothy McCall of Frostproof, FL.; grandchildren, Bret Lee Reynolds of Tuscaloosa, AL., Christie Reynolds Murchison and Chris Murchison of Daphne, AL., Pete and Donna Enfinger of Geneva, AL., and Michael Paul Enfinger of Dothan, AL., four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; nephews; Dennis and Carla Outlaw of Powder Springs, GA., Todd Outlaw of Newnan, GA., niece; Tammy and JJ Hughes of Dothan, AL., along with many other extended family and friends.


Pallbearers will be Maple Avenue Baptist Church Deacons.
