Mr. Alton Willard Dannelley of Samson, AL (Reese Community) passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 72.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Dr. J. Chris Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Dannelley Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Dannelley was born Manatee, FL on June 7, 1944 to the late Oples and Evie Boles Dannelley. Mr. Dannelley retired from the trucking industry after many years of service. He enjoyed living and working on his farm in the Reese community where he called home. He was a faithful member of the Samson Masonic Lodge # 624. Reese Baptist Church was blessed to have had him as a faithful member.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Benita Bassham, and Donnie Walker; one brother, Larry Walker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty Sue Nolin Dannelley of Samson, AL; one daughter, Marecia Ann Zorn of Samson, AL; one son, Alton Link Dannelley, of Samson, AL; four grandchildren, Kasey Zorn Chesteen of Samson, AL, Kristen Zorn Goodson (Paul) of Dothan, AL, Emily Alicia Dannelley, and Macy Shay Dannelley both of New Brockton, AL; four great grandchildren, Jaxon Cruz Donaldson, Marecia Grayce Chesteen, Madison Faith Chesteen all of Samson, AL, and Elizabeth James Goodson of Dothan, AL; three brothers, Rex Walker and Denny Walker both of Winter Haven, FL, Rodney Walker of Nashville, Ga; two sisters, Rhonda Lynn Berean, and Charolotte Johnson both of Nashville, GA; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
