Mr. Arthur L. Williams of Black, Alabama passed away Friday, June 6, 2012.  He was 67.


 


Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Bobby Enfinger officiating.  Burial will follow in the Leddon Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continue until service time.


 


Mr. Williams was born October 26, 1944 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Howard and Norma Long Williams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 101st Airborne.  In 1981, he moved to Black after living in Key West, Florida for a number of years.


 


Survivors include his wife, Dale Joy Stirrup Williams; four children: Debra Long (Ronnie), Roxane Posada (Michael), Phil Williams (Kim) and Janet Hernandez (Ozzie); 11 grandchildren: William and Christopher Gildner, John Long, Joy Hungerman, Melody, Cyntory and Nicholas Posada, Shane and Ethan Williams, Jennifer and Ozzie Hernandez; 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Anna, Laura, Charlene and Judy; other extended family and friends.
