Aubrey Glen Elmore, a resident of Ashford, Alabama died Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Southeast Health surrounded by his loving family.


Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Todd Thorpe officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service in Memory Hill Cemetery, with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 2pm to 3pm. Glen was born to the late Edward Elmore and Mildred Woodham Caulder on July 13, 1954 in Dothan, Alabama. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corp, Glen began his journey doing many trades. He recently retired from driving a special needs bus for the Houston County Board of Education due to his illness. Glen always had a special place in his heart for serving the special needs community. Glen’s hobbies included fishing, target shooting, camping, running 5K races with his son, and being in the outdoors. He served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church for many years before being a faithful member of Watermark Baptist Church for the past ten years. In the fall, you could always find Glen on Saturdays rooting on his Alabama Crimson Tide “Roll Tide”. He spent his summers watching his favorite baseball team the Atlanta Braves “Go Braves”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. His most precious times were making lasting memories with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.


Glen was proceeded in death by his father.


Left to cherish his memories is his wife of forty-four years, Cindy Elmore; a son, Nick Elmore (Melanie); his mother, Mildred Caulder; a brother, Dennis Elmore (Teresa); a sister, Libby McDougald; two grandchildren, Raegan Elmore and Everett Elmore; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
