OZARK…Mr. B. Dowling Petrey, Jr., a resident of Ozark, died Sunday morning, November 14, 2021, at his home. He was 72.

            In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Petrey, son of the late Bascom Dowling Petrey, Sr, M.D. and Ruby Jo Harris Petrey, was born January 10, 1949, in Mobile. He attended Carroll High School in Ozark and was a graduate of Marion Military Institute.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Cheryl Gaddis Petrey, Ozark; daughter, Melanie Shay Collins (John), Loxley, AL; stepson, Jerry D. Cotton, II, Ozark; step-mother, Hannah Petrey, Ozark; a sister, JoAnn Petrey, MS; two brothers, Roy Petrey (Dana), Crestview, FL and Tommy Petrey (Susan), Virginia; two grandchildren, Jordan Bennett and Shaun Bennett.
