Bill Proctor, a resident of Ashford, died unexpectantly Friday, July 26, 2024 at Southeast Health. He was 65.


Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2 PM at White Oak Shores, 246 White Oak Drive, Eufaula, AL 36027 with Brother Eric Norris officiating. A cookout for family and friends will immediately follow the service.


Bill was born June 11, 1959 in Liberty County, Florida to the late Eustis and Annie Helms Proctor.


He moved to Dothan in his teen years and attended Cottonwood High School. Bill was a diesel mechanic and worked at Flint Equipment and later owned and operated Wild Bill Welding. He was a family man who loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Bill also enjoyed the outdoors along with hunting and fishing and tinkering with anything that had a motor in it.


Bill is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and two brothers, and a brother in law.


Survivors include his three daughters, Amanda Norris (Jeff), Christy Brinson (Phill), Heather Knight (Jamie); grandchildren, Hunter Knight, Erica Norris, Maleena Brinson and David Brinson; wife, Brenda Proctor; special friend, Renae Bauldree; sisters, Jean Handlen (David), Marie Cumbie; brother, Jerry Proctor (Annie); brothers and sisters in law, Ricky Linville, Ralph Linville (Sarah), Vicky “Sue” Meadows, Randy Linville (Tracy) and several nieces and nephews and extended family.
