OZARK…Mr. Bobby D. Crosswhite (BM1, United States Navy, Retired), a resident of Ozark (formerly of Daleville), died Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, in an Ozark nursing home. He was 92.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Alexander officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 11:00 A.M. (E.T.) Monday, June 13, 2022, in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Crosswhite, son of the late William Crosswhite and Ruth Bird Crosswhite, was a native of Columbia, Mississippi. He was retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service. Mr. Crosswhite was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He worked many years as an accomplished carpenter and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Crosswhite’s passion in his later years, was a being a witness for Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sikes Crosswhite and a son-in-law, Darry Cline.


            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Bonney Crosswhite Hanson (Thomas), Springfield, MO and Yolanda Crosswhite Cline, Ozark; a son, Kenneth Earl Crosswhite, Samson; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.


            Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Hanson, Dean Wheeler, Sally Cruise, Rachel Hutton, and Laura Grant.
