Bobby Lee Crenshaw, born on august 27, 1941, in Union, Mississippi, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. Bobby grew up in rural Mississippi, where he completed his high school education before answering the call to serve his country by joining the Navy. After his honorable service, he pursued higher education and earned a degree in Data Processing, building a successful career in the field.

For 61 wonderful years, Bobby shared his life with Carolyn J. Crenshaw, his beloved wife and soulmate. Together, they created a loving home and raised three sons, Kenneth L. Crenshaw (Susan), Tommy R. Crenshaw (Sandi), and W. Alan Crenshaw, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and family.

Bobby was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit, which brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing, the thrill of hunting, and the satisfaction of working with his tractor. He was not only a loving husband and father, but also a cherished friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry O. Crenshaw; his mother, Mary Crenshaw; and his sister, Sandra Crenshaw. Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn, their three sons, and his grandchildren, Joshua Crenshaw, Randy Crenshaw, Carter Crenshaw, and Eli Crenshaw, and his brother, Henry O. Crenshaw, Jr. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Chandler Davis, Kaylee Crenshaw, and Colton Crenshaw, who will carry forward the memory of their grandfather with pride and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bobby, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Daysprings Hospice of Dothan.

Bobby Lee Crenshaw’s life was a testament to dedication-to his family, his country, and his work. His warmth, humor, kindness, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had to the honor of knowing him.
