ARITON… Mr. Brian Merritt Reeder (Master Sergeant, United States Army, Retired), a resident of Ariton, died early Monday evening, July 24, 2023, at his home. He was 65.


            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Reeder was born January 23, 1958, in Warren, Ohio. He lived in various locations in the United States and overseas, while serving in the United States Army. Mr. Reeder retired from the Army in Ft. Polk, Louisiana and moved to Ozark in 2010 before moving to Ariton in 2015. He enjoyed being outdoors and woodworking. Mr. Reeder was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Wilson Reeder and Mary Marie Goodrich Reeder and a sister, Wendy Reeder.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Pamela Reeder, Ariton; daughter, April Reeder (Ryan), Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Brad Reeder (Linda), Ohio; nephews, Kurt Reeder, Jason Reeder (Kim), Ben Reeder (Stephanie), and Cody Johnson (Lillie), Dothan; nieces and nephews, Jakob, Delilah, Jaxon, Violet, Oliver, Delanie, Frankie Jane, Charlie, Brad, Zac, Emery Claire, and Amber; sister-in-law, Helena McCartney.
