OZARK…Mr. Brian S. Shiver, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday afternoon, March 23, 2022, in Ozark. He was 47.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower and Reverend Danny Rieben officiating. Burial will follow in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, near Blue Springs. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the church.
Brian was born July 8, 1974, in Clio, Alabama and moved to Ozark in 1978. He was currently employed with First United Methodist Church of Ozark as the Maintenance Director. Brian was formerly employed with KC Construction in Dothan for sixteen years. He was literally a “Jack of all trades” with a true servant’s heart. Brian was extremely artistic, enjoyed riding motorcycles, and University of Alabama Football. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Helms, Eileen Helms Turner, Dee Shiver and Mildred Robinette Shiver, uncles, John Helms and Bill Helms.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Melena Kjeldgaard Shiver; daughter, Erin Shiver; son, Jacob Shiver (Alex), all of Ozark; parents, Franklin Shiver and Sharon Helms Shiver; sister, Michele Shiver, Dothan; a grandson, Jayce Shiver; several aunts and cousins including his aunt, Alicia Shiver, Clio; relatives from the Kjeldgaard family, Karen Kjeldgaard, Ozark, Keith Kjeldgaard, Chiefland, FL, Roxanne Kruse (Russell), Ozark, Douglas Kruse (Gabby), Ethan Kruse, and Cody Kruse (Emily); a host of friends including his First United Methodist Church of Ozark family.
