NEWTON…Mr. Carlton Roger Weaver, a resident of Newton, died early Thursday morning, December 29, 2022, in Pensacola, Florida. He was 76.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 2, 2023, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Weaver, son of the late L.D. Weaver and Albertine F. Nollemans Weaver, was a native of Butler, Alabama and grew up in Toxey, Alabama. He moved to the Wiregrass area in the mid 1970’s and was retired from Jordan Pile Driving in Ozark as a Crane Operator following over forty years of employment. He enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing with his friends, going on road trips, and loved old western movies. Mr. Weaver’s greatest enjoyment was his grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Paige, Sparky, and Cheha. He was preceded in death by his wives, Peggy Jean Weaver and Diane Butterfield Weaver; a grandson, Chase Weaver and an aunt, Hazel Whittington.
Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Renae Schostag (Jason), Pensacola, Florida and Carla Weaver, Prattville; a son, Gregory Scott Weaver, McIntosh, Alabama; three sisters, Gladys Green (Jeff), Meridian, Mississippi, Annie Gayle Steen (Charlie), and Francine Grider (John), all of Monroeville, Alabama; a brother, Paul Wayne Weaver (Pat), Gilbertown, Alabama; five grandchildren, Sasha Danielle Hepler (Lonnie), Daniel Ryan Bludsworth (Ashley), Dylan Scott Bingaman, Matthew Chance Bingaman, and Chasity Weaver; great-grandchildren, Bennett Ryan Bludsworth, Emma Jean Hepler, Kennedy Claire Bludsworth, Kolton Layne Bingaman, and Weston Anthony Bingaman.
