ARITON…Mr. Carter Bearrentine, a resident of Ariton, died early Tuesday morning, March 15, 2022, in Wiregrass Medical Center, Geneva. He was 71.
In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Bearrentine and his family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bearrentine son of the late Charlie Bearrentine and Jewel Carter Hartzog, was born in Ozark and has lived in Ariton most of his lifetime. He was retired from building construction. Mr. Bearrentine served his country in the Army National Guard. He is best remembered on his happiest days fishing, hunting, and using his best jokes to make others smile. Mr. Bearrentine was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Bearrentine.
Surviving relatives include two daughters Jeanna Be’nee Rice (Nathan) Bremerton WA and Amber Jewell Bearrentine; a son , Kenneth Harrell Bearrentine, both of Ariton; a sister, Thelma Flowers, Brundidge, AL; half-brother, Joe Bearrentine (Pat), Pike Road AL; granchildren, Isaac Trey Bearrentine (Briana), Ashley Rice, Alex Rice, Billy Crumbley, Eddie Crumbley, and Joshua King.
