Mr. Cecil Oneal Jones, age 73, a resident of Cottonwood died early Thursday, April 1, 2021 at UAB Hospital after a brief illness.

The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Glover Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Jones was born August 10, 1947 in Slocomb, Alabama to Raymond and Susan Mae Windham Jones. He was a 1965 graduate of Slocomb High School.  He was retired from Dothan Post Office after 41 years of service.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War.

He is predeceased by his parents and his nephew, Joey Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Gloria Ann Jones; children, Alicia Jones Thorne (Tony), Brad Jones, and David Jones; brother, Haywood Jones,(Betty); 6 grandchildren;  Dawson Jones, Madison Jones, Nikki Roberts(Jake), Lacey McCall, Jase Whitehead, Kody Whitehead; 6 great-grandchildren; Watson, Jolie, Tucker, Krislee, Layton and Easton; several nieces and nephews.
