Chabanov Jerzy Charion Kaczmarczyk passed into the arms of Jesus Saturday April 10, 2021. He was a life-long resident of Dothan, Alabama. He was 41 years young. 

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday April 17, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory with Jackie Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm before the service at the funeral home.

He was a father, son, brother, friend, musician, artist, song writer, confidant and so much more.

Chabanov was born on September 7, 1979 and was known to close friends as Christian Kay. An inspiration to many through his music and friendship, he was known best as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist of the local band Filmore Drive. In this he found the most happiness and a shared passion for music with his band of brothers. 

In most recent years he worked as a supervisor for Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, and prior to that he worked as a fabricator with Southern Marble from 2003-2011.

He was the eldest of eight siblings. As an avid equestrian, he competed on the Fort Rucker equestrian team as a young boy.  He grew up with a love for animals, cars and all things music. Raised very old fashion with a dash of southern charm and a double shot of wit. He is deeply missed and greatly loved.  

Passed in peace by father George Jerzy Kaczmarczyk; grandparents, Dorotha and Joseph Kaczmarczyk, grandmother, Gloria J. Gossen, grandfather, Bobby Gene Ham.

Left to cherish his memories are his son Brettley Kaczmarczyk; mother, Joy Kaczmarczyk; sisters, Jastasia Kaczmarczyk, Darzania Kaczmarczyk Scammell (Kurt), Zalysia Kaczmarczyk (Amber); brothers; Jahaziel Kaczmarczyk (Chanci), Zaebrian Kaczmarczyk, Judah Kaczmarczyk, and Jezryan Kaczmarczyk; uncles, Jeff Gossen (Rochelle), and Edward Kaczmarczyk (Pat); a nephew, Tristen Kaczmarczyk; two nieces, Anastacia Kaczmarczyk, and Capriauna Kaczmarczyk Scammell; and several cousins.
