OZARK…Mr. Chad Johnson, a resident of the Pleasant Grove Community, near Ozark, died early Thursday evening, May 26, 2022, in Dale Medical Center. He was 46.
Private funeral services will be held in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with his uncles, Reverend Harold Peters and Reverend Glenn Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Chad was born July 1, 1975, in Ozark, Alabama. He attended Wallace Community College in Dothan and was formerly employed with Oak View Manor Retirement Center as the Maintenance Director. Chad was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wyatt and Grace Peters; aunts, Barbara Peters Hinson, Brenda Hoage, and Patricia Peters; a cousin, Pete Peters.
Surviving relatives include his children, Brittney Johnson Ward (Christopher), Catlyn Johnson, Austin Johnson, and Corey Williams; mother, Kathy Peters Johnson; father, Charles Johnson, all of Ozark; sister, Stephanie Thompson (Billy), Enterprise; a brother, Bo Johnson (Wendy), Ozark; six grandchildren, Trey Ward, Raven Ward, Carley Ward, Emma Ward, Harper Ward, and Brynleigh Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jesse Thompson, Josh Thompson, Kaleb Johnson, and Claire Johnson; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Lewis Peters, Matt Peters, Ed Peters, Austin Johnson, Corey Williams, and Chris Ward.
