CENTER RIDGE COMMUNITY…Mr. Charles Culverhouse, a resident of the Center Ridge Community, near Ariton, died early Saturday morning, October 16, 2021, at his home. He was 79.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Brian Sanders officiating. A eulogy will be given by his brother-in-law, Don McCall. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Culverhouse, son of the late Tullie F. Culverhouse and Loraine McClendon Culverhouse, was a native and lifelong resident of Ariton. In earlier years, he owned and operated a trucking company that leased trucks to Burnham and Schneider Trucking. Mr. Culverhouse served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed having a garden, sharing the harvest with his many friends, and hunting. Mr. Culverhouse was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fronnie Outlaw Culverhouse; daughter, Charlene Culverhouse; grandson, Matthew Hill; brother, Robert Culverhouse and wife, Nina Jo.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Frannie Hill, Kapolei, HI; son, Chuck Culverhouse (Courtney), Ariton; two sisters, Margie McCall (Don), Ariton and Charlotte Newpauer, Ozark; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kaylee, and Baylee Culverhouse, Emily Luke, and Kalani Allen-Hill; three brothers-in-law, Holman Outlaw, Roeton Community, Junior Outlaw (Eleanor) and Mark Buckinger, all of the Post Oak Community.
