Charles Edward White of Dothan passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 80.


Charles was born in Cottonwood on September 21, 1941 to the late James and Effie White. He served his country in the United States Army and served as a Deputy and Investigator with the Houston County Sheriffs Department. He also enjoyed wood working and owned a full-service station with his brother.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Fredonna White; sisters, Christine Hammitt and Edna Turner; brother, James W. (Buddy) White.


Survivors include daughters, Charlanna Skaggs (Jess) and Christi Martin (Jason); grandchildren, Ann Vivian Spencer, Elisabeth Spencer, Levi Martin, Charlie Skaggs, and Ridley Skaggs; several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.  


Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the funeral home.
