Mr. Charles Glenn Eddins, age 83, a resident of Dublin, Ga. (formerly of Ashford) died Saturday October 8, 2016 at the V.A. Hospice Facility in Dublin, Georgia after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday October 11, 2016 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Myron Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford City Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.
The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to services. Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Eddins was born on December 25, 1932 in Dothan the son of Glenn Wilson Eddins and Mildred Rice Eddins. He worked for a number of years as a paper maker at the paper mill in Cedar Springs, Ga. Mr. Eddins was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and he was lifelong Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: daughter, Deborah June Eddins, Panama City, FL.; 2 sons, Charles William Eddins (Anne), Dublin, Ga.; Keith Wilson Eddins, Panama City, FL.; sister, Glenda Standifer (Jerry), Newton; brother, Bobby Eddins (Bonnie), Pensacola, FL.; 3 granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be: Leslie Eddins, Jeffrey Standifer, Evan Grimes, Brad Grimes, Cohen Cardwell and Mike Cardwell.
