Mr. Charles L. “Dale” Grimes of Kinston passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016.  He was 68.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Milfred Adams, officiating.  Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 25, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Grimes was born in Hartford, AL on September 14, 1948, to William C. Grimes and the late Mary Alice Gillman Grimes.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, Mr. Grimes worked as a lineman for many years.  He loved to fish in in his pastime.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by four aunts and two uncles. 

He is survived by his father, William C. Grimes of Chancellor; brother, Samuel “Ken” Grimes, and wife, Chia; and niece, Laura “Kim” Grimes, all of Enterprise.
