Mr. Charles Robert Morris of Dothan died Monday, August 13, 2012, at his residence following an extended illness. He was 68.


 


Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Golson officiating.  Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Hospice of your choice.


 


Mr. Morris was a graduate of Dothan High School and Auburn University where he received a degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist for 39 years. He bought City Drug and established Doctors Center Pharmacy when Flowers Hospital was built. Most recently he worked at Beasley Pharmacy in Columbia, where he formed a close relationship with the people of the community.As a Boy Scout, he earned his Eagle badge and was a proud supporter of the Boys Scouts of America. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Dothan Elks Lodge.


 


He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lynhurst Morris and Clara Belle Ketchum Morris.


 


Survivors include daughter, Robyn Morris Dean and her husband, Jackie of Dothan; son, Robby Morris and his wife, Celena of Dothan; grandchildren, Molly Morris, Matthew Morris, Christian Dean, Jackson Dean, Collin Dean, Avery Dean, and many special friends and business partner, John P. Beasley.


 


Pallbearers will be Larry Kinney, Randy Bryson, Chris Weed, Charles Casey, John Beasley, and Otto Voellinger.


Honorary pallbearers will be Boy Scout Troupe 106.


 


A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Gentiva Home Health, and to his special caregivers, who became part of his family.
