Chris was born April 10, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to Dothan, Alabama with his parents in 1991. His childhood nickname was T-Bear. As a child, he was not much in to sports, but really enjoyed going camping and riding go-carts. Chris kept those interests as an adult, taking his ATV’s to a primitive campground and getting muddy on the trails in the woods. One of his childhood heroes was Evel Knievel, who did stunts on motorcycles, leading his interest in going on motorcycle rides on his Harley. Much to the chagrin of his parents, who are graduates of Michigan State University, Chris was a fan of that other school in Michigan. Chris was also a gaming enthusiast known as “Grimm”.
Chris had a wide variety of skills, working in home remodeling. He was a good all-around handyman, and spent lots of time working on his truck. He was very much a people person and always had a lot of friends. Some have described and will remember his brilliant smile, and friendly and outgoing personality. He was usually upbeat, despite his on going back problems. He was always willing to help others when needed.
Chris recently lost his two beloved dogs, “Little Man” and “Suzy” due to their deteriorating health.
Chris is survived by his wife, Robyn; daughters, Brooke Pescod (Richard), and Samantha Berry; son, Daniel Berry; grandsons, Caden Hudson, Richard Pescod, Jr., and Madden Berry; stepsons, James Hudson, and Cody Bevans; and his parents, Daniel and Ronda Berry.
