Mr. Clifford Rex Dixon, age 68, of Ashford passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at SAMC surrounded by his loving family.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Love Hill Assembly of God, with Reverend's Jason Tolar, Stephen Peacock and Jerry Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.


The family will be receiving friends Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home and the body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services on Monday.


Mr. Dixon was born on March 13, 1949 to the late Clifford Lee Dixon and Lessie Green Dixon. Rex worked at Keystone Automotive Group for the last 18 years.  He was a loving daddy, granddaddy and great-granddaddy. He loved to fish and hunt with his coon dogs. He won many awards with his coon dogs. He was also a member of the Lovetown Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.


He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Lessie Jean Walker.


He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Coker Dixon; two sons, Jimmy Dixon (Shannon), Scott Dixon (Joannie); three grandchildren, Rachel Morgan, Courtney Tolar (Caleb), Kevin Dixon all of Ashford, AL and Dillon Revels; three great-grandchildren, Isabella Bronson, Sophia Morgan, Brendan Morgan all of Ashford. AL; special friend Brianna Willis, Cottonwood, AL; brother-in-law, Jerry Walker, Blue Springs, AL; several nieces and nephews
