Mr. Clifton Leroy Harrison of S. Wise Street, Samson, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014.  He was 99.


Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, in the Hartford City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.


Mr. Harrison was born November 18, 1914, in Monroe, Missouri to the late Maury Homer and Callie Leon Cox Harrison.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Samson American Legion.  He enjoyed playing golf and was a licensed pilot.  He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was of the Methodist faith.


In addition to his parents, one brother, Maury Harrison, and a grandson, Joseph Bross, preceded him in death.


Survivors include his wife of eight years, Frances Harrison of Samson; one daughter, Ruth Ellen Bross of Bartow, FL; one very special grandson, Michael (Debbie Jo) Bross of Lakeland, FL; five granddaughters: Ginger (Wesley) Hines of Bartow, FL, Johnell (Nathan) Salyer of Lakeland, FL, Rebecca (Cory) Martin, Cyrina (James) Cox of Clewiston, FL, and Casinna (Grant) Ewert of Lakeland, FL; several special great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;  other extended family and friends.
