Mr. Daniel James “Dan” O’Keefe, a resident of Ozark, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at his home. He was 68 years old.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. O’Keefe 2:30 P.M. (Eastern Time) Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in Fort Mitchell National Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Father Chris Boutin will be officiating.
Mr. O’Keefe was born October 28, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late James Edward O’Keefe and Margaret Mary Kavanagh O’Keefe. He joined the United States Marine Corps where he retired following twenty years. He had been deployed to Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a Crew Chief of the CH53-E Super Stallion. Following his military retirement, he continued his love of helicopters by way of employment with Sikorsky where he worked until his retirement with twenty years of service.
Mr. O’Keefe will be loving remembered by his loving wife of 42 years, Floradelis O’Keefe of Ozark; two sons, James O’Keefe (Lindsay) of Fayetteville, Georgia and Michael O’Keefe of Nova Scotia; two grandchildren, Dailah O’Keefe and Ezra O’Keefe of Fayetteville, Georgia; two brothers, Gigi O’Keefe (Rita) of Massachusetts and Sean O’Keefe of Rhode Island; two sisters, Patricia Petit and Maureen Dattolie both of Rhode Island.
The family would like to express their thanks to all that they have come to know throughout the years; those who have helped the family in their time of need.
